Bridal Market: From the runway to the aisle

Bridal Market is the chance for designers to show off their new lines, and our chance to find out what's hot in wedding fashion. Here are 10 Spring wedding dress trends we found in Dallas this past weekend! Let the countdown begin!

10. Pick-Ups
Voluminous pick-up skirts guarantee to give your bridal look loads of extra drama and southern charm. Check out Mori Lee's 2217.

9. Full A-Line Skirts and Ball Gowns
The A-line silhouette features a shape that is fitted around the bodice and flows out to the ground, resembling the outline of an uppercase A. This sihouette is classic and elegant. Although this Casablanca 1894 is not a Spring 2011 style, we saw many dresses with this shape at market.

8. Lace
All bridal fabrics are beautiful, but none combine history and romance as well as lace. Lace gowns will continue to be seen through 2011! WE LOVE LACE!!!

7. Bows
From soft chiffon styles to more structural satin ones, these girly details are the hottest knots to hit the bridal fashion runways! BRING ON THE BOWS!!!!

6. 50's Flair
Bridal designers must be as obsessed with the vintage look of the 50's! There were high necklines, tulle skirts, and tea-length styles on the runway! If a pair of great legs is among your best features, why not show them off? A shorter hemline may also give you more freedom to move on the dance floor.

5. Belted Dresses

4. Pleated Necklines and Ruched Bodices
This playful detail adds the perfect amount of texture to both embellished and simple wedding gowns.

3. The Bold One Shoulder
The one shoulder style has taken bridal couture by storm. But this season, unlike in years past, the over-the-top details are what really make these asymmetrical necklines stand out. Nothing brings more attention to a bride’s beautiful shoulders, neck and face than the dramatic one-shouldered neckline.

2. Tiered Ruffled Skirts
Tiers of fanciful frills were seen in almost every type of wedding dress: formal, informal, sophisticated, dramatic, modern, classic, short, and full length. Maggie Sottero & Mori Lee, along with other designers were showcasing ruffles as an alternative to a simple silhouette with no movement. Check out Maggie Sottero's Jenna from Fall 2010 in store now and imagine it in luxurious satin for Spring 2011. IT'S MAJOR!!!

1. 3-D Florals
Designers were big on 3-D floral blooms of all different sizes, from simple, cherry-blossom details to oversized, eye-catching rosettes. This Rosa Clará ivory organza strapless gown with a ruched bodice has a full a-line ruffle floral skirt. The chunky beadwork at the waist creates a flattering shape. BREATHTAKING!

Southern Belle in Sherri Hill

Miranda Lambert is blasting the country music charts! If you know anything bout Lambert, you know that she is the ultimate Southern Belle, with a sassy attitude and simple country girl style.

Here shown on the red carpet with her arm candy soon to be hubby, Blake Shelton, Miranda shows off her southern charm with Sherri Hill 2226. This dress has a simple silhouette with a strapless bust and an appropriate length mini skirt. The gown is full of glitz with the extra large silver sequins embellishing the bodice. Feeling beautiful in her own skin, Miranda shows off her fabulous natural figure. She paired this sparkling dress with simple silver shoes. Earrings can top off this gown with simple crystals, or over the top glitz! This Sherri Hill dress is great for you simple ladies as well as the girls that love dramatic entrances. You will surely sparkle and be the eyes of all!

If you love this gown, check out Sherri Hill 2270! This dress is the mother gown to Sherri Hill 2226. The dress has a similar silhouette with small differences. The dress here has a strapless sweetheart neckline with a very fitted bodice and a sweep style train. Also detailing the train is a side slit which will give you legs comfy walking room. The dress is detailed with the extra large silver sequins for that glamorous sparkling effect!

Both of these gowns can be special ordered for the upcoming Homecoming and Prom seasons!
